Ideal for tour groups, reunions, and all your gathering needs. Paul Bunyan’s Cook Shanty in Minocqua has been a tradition in this lakeside town since 1961. Paul and Babe look down from their lofty perch on a 30ft high sign welcoming you into our restaurant, gift shop and bakery. Enter through the front door into the style and atmosphere of the ole time lumberjack cook shanties which dotted the Northwoods in the late 1800′s.
We serve the family style, all-you-can-eat meals which made us popular among tourists and locals. Take home freshly made homemade cookies, breads and sugar donuts from the in-house bakery. And peruse the gift shop for books, toys, novelty gifts, housewares and apparel.
Visitors have loved eating here for more than 50 years, and with its hometown charm, logging camp decor, and homemade comfort foods, Paul Bunyan’s Cook Shanty is sure to become a tradition in your family, too.
